It's Pure!

Remember in the movie "Better Off Dead" when John Cusack and Booger are up on the mountain and Booger gets excited after snorting some snow? Booger yells, "This is pure snow! It's everywhere! Do you have any idea what the street value of this mountain is?"

Check out this article from radio personality Mike Gallagher. Rarely does one find such intense concentrated stupidity crammed into so few words. Indeed it is pure stupidity, the street value of which is incalcuable. Read it just to bask in its glory.

Wow. My favorite part is that he is playing the role of outraged citizen, and that the teacher is the allaged moron. Breathtaking in its idiocy. And breathtaking that Town Hall saw fit to publish it.

While Gallagher displays fine form as a tin-eared, hollow-headed mouth breather, the teacher does himself little glory in dismissing the true complexities of the war and slavery by pushing his "Southerners were evil slavery loving bastards and Northerners were noble enlightened sages" tripe. In my eyes more than enough stupidity from both sides to last for a while.

I don't know what the teacher said or believes, exactly, but even Gallagher doesn't say that the teacher said "Southerners were evil slavery loving bastards and Northerners were noble enlightened sages."

However, if we want to have a debate about who was on the right side, in every important way, in the Civil War, one side is clearly going to win.
