The Big Tent contributors are followers of Alfred Thayer Mahan.
I think it depends on your students. I remember my APUSH teacher assigning it in high school, but that was 15 years ago and I don't remember if it was all that effective. I remember "Taking Sides" being a much more valuable resource in JUCO.
