Not sure yet. Will comment when shock and terror wear off. Need more beer. What day is it?

It's about time. I am glad that I do not have to hear about another drawn out, self-indulgent, soul-searching episode.

Yes, he was great and deserves hall-of-fame status. Nevertheless, I can name at least ten to fifteen quarterbacks I would put on my team before Favre . His often erratic play had a number of drawbacks, which helps explains why the Packers only managed one superbowl win during his long tenure.

Oh yes, the television coverage after his father died has to rank as one of the most melodramatic, maudlin sport broadcasts in pro football history. Ugghhh

Not that anyone cares, but I also find his "good-old" boy image embarrassing. It's only charming on the Dukes of Hazard.

Drawbacks like winning one superbowl, going to another, reaching the NFC championship game numerous times and being a perennial power in the NFC? Drawbacks like all the records he managed to accumulate with his often erratic play? Ten to fifteen quarterbacks you'd rather have? I'm listening. If you don't like the coverage, blame the media not the target. And if anyone's image (not sure what a "good-old" boy image is or how Favre should be taken to task for having one) should be examined it's that of Tom Brady - the do-no-wrong media darling that has at least one illegitimate child and may (MAY, Derek) be, along with the rest of the Patriots, involved in an earth-shattering cheating scandal.
