Check out the one from December 4, 1970. It is getting attention because it contains a section where Nixon wants Americans to know him as a nice guy. But it is interesting for many other reasons as well. I was particularly interested in how he described Eisenhower, of course. Good stuff.

I was also interested to see the letter from Eisenhower to Nixon after Nixon's election. Eisenhower suggested that Nixon nominate Herbert Brownell to the Supreme Court. It is more evidence that Brownell's pro-civil rights record did not hurt Eisenhower's opinion of him.
