NAACP chairman compares GOP to Nazis: "Civil rights activist and NAACP Chairman Julian Bond delivered a blistering partisan speech at Fayetteville State University in North Carolina last night, equating the Republican Party with the Nazi Party and characterizing Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and her predecessor, Colin Powell, as 'tokens.'
'The Republican Party would have the American flag and the swastika flying side by side,' he charged.
Calling President Bush a liar, Bond told the audience at the historically black institution that this White House's lies are more serious than the lies of his predecessor's because Clinton's lies didn't kill people."

must be tough to be a black conservative/republican.
Guys, the link you provided misquotes Bond. The quote I found shows him saying:
"Their idea of equal rights is the American flag and the Confederate swastika flying side by side."
While Bond was certainly unfair, I find it interesting that the journalist ommited the word Confederate.
Do you have a link?

Here is the link.
The founder and main driving engine behind the web site from which the link in the post comes is Joseph Farah who, among other things, has compared the ACLU to "fifth columnists" and has called for the murder of adulterers.
dcat
do we have a transcript of the full speech?
