The Claremont Institute has Christmas recommendations.
Three books that I have not read but would like to receive (hint, hint) are:
Steve Coll, Ghost Wars: The Secret History of the CIA, Afghanistan, and Bin Laden, from the Soviet Invasion to September 10, 2001.
George Crile, Charlie Wilson's War: The Extraordinary Story of the Largest Covert Operation in History.
Robert Kaplan, Imperial Grunts : The American Military on the Ground.
More later.
