ESPN2 has actually aired some of the National Scrabble Tournament. They actually have a computer that looks at what possible plays are available with a players tiles, then plays out over 10,000 possible variations of what could happen after that play based on what tiles are left, and give a percentage of which play gives the greatest chance of victory. These people take nerd to a whole new level; yet I can't look away.
