So it is. Ghost Soldiers came out first and was very successful, and I haven't read the other book, so I assumed Ghost Soldiers was the source. Either way, it's a true story and the preview looks solid. I do wonder why they didn't pull in a little more star power, but int he end that might help the movie. Who knows, maybe the movie will make stars out of mid-level guys like Bratt and Franco.
Joseph Fiennes has some star power, and Bratt will bring in the females. I also assumed Ghost Soldiers was the main source, which is why I was surprised when I checked IMDb and saw that it was only listed as "additional material". So far it does look like it has some potential, although we'll have to see how far they push the love story.

Actually, I think they only used Ghost Soldiers for additional stuff. I think the movie is mainly based on this book: The Great Raid : Rescuing the Doomed Ghosts of Bataan and Corregidor. I haven't read either book, so I don't know how they compare.
