I saw a book presentation on C-SPAN a few months ago dealing with Daylight Savings and time zones. It was either this book: Spring Forward: The Annual Madness of Daylight Saving Time or this book: Seize the Daylight : The Curious and Contentious Story of Daylight Saving Time. From what I gathered, the author would disagree with your enthusiasm over DST. And of course, we won't get into the fun of Indiana's time zones again.
I'm very sensitive about this.
Alex Beam of the Boston Globe is not as thrilled with the idea, and he shows a lot of other people who aren't either here.
