OK. Coincidentally with my last post, West Wing tonight featured a storyline involving a "war" between Canadians and Americans. No need to go into the details of the origins or the results. It was enough to see that the show was getting some of its sense of humour back.
BTW, for a wacky read about something similar, try to dig up a copy of "Exxoneration" by Richard Rohmer. My friend once did a report on it for English class in HS. It's almost science fiction-like.
