It's Friday

Time for Victor Davis Hanson to get us pumped up.

Typing that last sentence just brought something to mind: why doesn't Word automatically correct it when I type "fro" instead of "for"? Are there lots of people talking about afros out there? Even if there are, shouldn't the abbreviation have an apostrophe in there: "'fro"? Can I get a ruling on this?

By the way, I would like to welcome all of our new readers who have been popping over from Hugh Hewitt's site. A little background information on the Big Tenters--we are four historians who met in grad school at an anonymous university in the American Midwest. Two of us are professors; the other two are still finishing our degrees at the U (no, not that one). We are pretty much big tent conservatives, depending on the issue.
