Just so we are tracking

Become tenured professor, write a book, win an award, have book proven to be a fraud, have award taken away, resign from tenured position in disgrace, then write article for the Chronicle of Higher Education? On teaching military history at a university?

Is this a joke? Do any other military historians have a problem with this?

UPDATE: Some folks are questioning the veracity of the Chronicle article. The question needs repeating: Central Connecticut couldn't find a reputable military historian to adjunct teach a military history course?

I came across this thru the Cliopatria blog at HNN: http://www.insidehighered.com/views/mclemee/mclemee290.

I think it's safe to say that it's not just military historians who have the problem with this.

I'm sure that's true, and Mark's link shows the general indignation over the whole affair. But isn't it telling that when this guy gets another chance, it is teaching mlitary history as an adjunct somewhere? Why not? It's just military history and we are just filling seats, so who cares?
