Karaka Pend liked that article on did on World War II memory and Saving Private Ryan.
She's right: video clips would have been good.

I like her compliment: "the article is styled academically rather than blogtastically."
I think you are blogtastic.
Well, if it was too blogtastic, I couldn't put the article in my c.v.
But then again the whole thing started off as a blog post, if you get in a way back machine and go to Rebunk.
But I never did movie clips, so I can't be too blogtastic. Does this help?
Hey, what's the fun of the internet if I can't create a new term?
Hullo! And thanks for the linkback.
Speaking of Rebunk....we never got the full story.
You know, in retrospect that story is actually really boring, stupid, and unimportant, not to mention predictable, and to blab about it now would only start an idiotic fight with idiots, which would also be boring, stupid, unimportant, and predictable.
Drunk history, on the other hand, is awesome.
Someday, the story will make a fine book but only if it includes the story of the Brobsters.
...also a boring story of academic sensitivity.
The story is that we got screwed after someone who had a part in the screwing was explicitly told by the person in authority to stop trying to screw and when he still tried to screw rather than him being punished I got punished for being none too subtle in an email about the screwing.
That about sums it up. Anything else would be just asking for a fight that I'm not in any way afraid of but that would not be worth anyone's while.
