And I'd be wary of raomanticizing Texas -- the word we are hearing is that at the next legislative session Texas is going to have to pay the piper. When the rest of the country is recovering we might find that Texas is suffering. (And even with things being good, we've been told to tighten our belts -- we got everything we wanted from the legislature and faculty got miniscule raises. Wait until things are bad.)
