Some Reflections on Polling in the Primaries Money quote: "Let's start by taking note of an observation that political scientists have made since the 1950s. That is, average voters do not pay much attention to politics." Makes you worry about who is voting and for what reasons and how much influence those voters have on elections. I have often told my students that elections boil down to who can fool more ignorant voters than the other guy. Having been involved in a few congressional campaigns I am convinced that is true.
