I'm sure you've all noted the passing of Arthur Schlesinger, Jr. Since Stephen is heading home and may not have seen this piece, I'll post it on his behalf. And I'll add this piece on my own.

Rarely have I read a post I enjoyed as much as I did the one by Hamby. I teared up a bit and I was never a big AS fan. Thanks for posting it.
