The Big Tent contributors are followers of Alfred Thayer Mahan.
I know someone in the Big Tent 'verse who will be pleased with those results. Her hard work is paying off.
I wouldn't pay attention to anything election-related until late September. Things are very quiet here in Ohio, most likely because everyone is husbanding resources for the final run up to November. This race actually has great potential for being interesting once things get going.
Agreed.People know the "bad" stuff about Blackwell, but the "bad" stuff about Strickland has yet to be really publicized...This "lead" is more about most people not knowing Strickland yet than it is anything else.... In a way, it is kinda like Gore/Bush 2000...most people either liked Gore or didn't like him long before they even knew much about GW Bush....wonks aside...The left and people that fear religious leaders don't like Blackwell and nothing will change their minds on that. Most other people just don't know enough about Strickland to hazard an opinion, but that will change, I'm sure, once the campaigns really start....
Um....Blackwell has no chance b/c he is um....black. Ohio won't elect an African American to the governor's office. Strickland could molest children and it would still be a close election. As it is, Blackwell might even pull DeWine down with him. I wish the world were differnt but sometimes it is what it is. with a sluggish economy and an awful outgoing gov.--I could beat Blackwell.
I work for and live in the City of Cleveland, so I think its fair to say I know A LOT of black people (mostly Democrats, but far from being "liberal")Quite a few of them are seriously considering Blackwell....Not to mention that I don't think that the Dems will really do all that well trying to replace 'cronyism' 'corruption' and 'mismanagement' with a guy who is as closely linked to 'big unions' as Strickland is.....
