What a lovely eulogy. However did folks get the idea that conservatives were petty and vicious?

I'm not sure, what do we call it when someone draws large negative conclusions about a group based on the actions of one member of the group? What's that called?

I am interested in hearing how that column was petty and vicious.

Steve,

Galbraith did just pass away---it isn't considered good form to be overly critical in what was an obituary. Let a little time pass and then have at his ideas.

I agree. Poor form on the part of Will. But, then, I'm not a fan anyway.

I wouldn't call it petty, since I consider the issues to be large, important ones. I wouldn't call it vicious, since that seems a little overboard. If you want vicious, see H.L. Mencken on WJB. I am in NJ at a public computer so I won't sign on.
