What a World

I can't decide which is sillier, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's eighteen page letter to President Bush, or James Lileks' translation.

To all of America's leaders-- this is what fighting a severely limited war, and entertaining even doubts about that, has wrought: the president of an open state-sponsor of terrorism and soon-to-be nuclear power is taunting us.

Sad, just sad.

I guess we DIDN'T learn from Vietnam.

Balls to the wall or not at all....

I am not saying we should use the bunker busting nuclear bombs on Iranian targets, but shouldn't we at least have them? To make a credible threat? "Crazy cowboy" Bush and all....? Hasn't Ahmadinejad already basically said he is stalling to deal with the next President?

Can we promise to drop John Edwards and Al Gore on them, perhaps with Jimmy Carter? After all, didn't we learn from Colbert that laughter kills? Perhaps more than bombs do?
