Peter Wehner, "deputy assistant to the president and director of the White House's Office of Strategic Initiatives," has an op-ed in today's Wall Street Journal called "Revisionist History: Antiwar myths about Iraq, debunked." So the Bush administration has decided to get the word out. Way to be on the ball, guys.
But my favorite thing about the article is the response to the "Because weapons of mass destruction stockpiles weren't found, Saddam posed no threat" myth. Wehner repeats the same old story about Saddam planning on rapidly reconstituting his WMD program as soon as the he had the opportunity. That's true enough, but you would think that by now the Bush administration would start mentioning that we have all sorts of evidence that Saddam was housing terrorists, funding terrorists, and running terrorist training camps. Seems kind of important.
That bang you hear is Stephen Hayes' head exploding over at the Weekly Standard.
