Great story. My only question is why the hell was this the kid's first game. He hit 6 freakin' 3's? The opposing players were not giving him anything either, he was being defended. It seems like he could have been used semi-regularly throughout the season to come in and nail a couple of long-range shots.

And of course because so many high school coached abuse the system, the kid is not eligible to play in the postseason, as a player has to have appeared in six games. So the leading scorer (from 4 minutes of play) for a playoff-bound team's last regular season game is back in shirt and tie for the postseason, largely because far too many scuzzbag coaches abuse the system and would toss ringers in at every opportunity. Ugh.

Again I blame the coach. He should have known the kid could shoot and suited him up earlier.
