So the little desk lamp we got from Ikea is falling apart. The long stem keeps breaking from the base, and it's getting harder and harder to screw the pieces back together.
This last time I got mad at the lamp and called it a "Swedish piece of *&!%"--not something you hear very often, which made me laugh. So I flipped it over and, sure enough: "Made in People's Republic of China."
Well, that's not nearly as funny.
Stupid globalization.
