I am pretty swamped at work right now. But I did want to tell every Big Tent reader to run--not walk-- out to see Walk The Line. It is the best movie I have seen this year. It as close to being a perfect movie that I can imagine.
I've been waiting to hear a review from somebody that I know has some knowledge and admiration for Cash. Lots of people I've talked to say they've liked it but they had little or no previous knowledge of the man. Now I can go see it.

Midgets?
Impalings?
Monkeys?
Guys on fire?
One death on a saw, but no impalings, midgets, or monkeys.
If you have read any of JC's books you will probably like the movie. They do a good job of capturing his story in its complexity.
The man had demons.
No midgets and no impalings. I guess that explains why it is only 'close to being a perfect movie.' Bummer.
Is there any dwarves doing cocaine in the bathroom of a Greyhound? I'd have to guess yes, knowing Cash like I do.
