Burning Paris
Unfortunately, I tend to agree with Mark Steyn on this one - I think much of Europe, especially France and the Netherlands, is headed for prolonged civil unrest, insurgency and war. The future begs two questions. Can the Europeans deal with the problem? Will the United States get involved? I think the answer to the first is, at present, no, and the French are proving this. The answer to the second is, do the Europeans really want that? Americans would be quite reluctant, and if they did get involved, they would "bring the thunder" in their typical no-nuance, crush-the-bad-guys manner. The future of Europe holds much potential ugliness.
