Wasting the Bully Pulpit

Michael Ledeen on the terrible communication from the Bush administration:

Don't be surprised when the administration bungles the presentation of the Miers candidacy. They can't even make a convincing case for defending our coastline. Or our soldiers.

Note that he is not saying that there is no case, they just can't make the case. He's right. What a waste.
