I see people wearing Che shirts every day. The ignorance is astounding, and really akin to the fools who display Confederate flags because they think it makes them look like a cool rebel.

There are other t-shirts with sayings such as 'commies aren't cool' with che's picture under a circled slash.
It is not just that he was a communist, because there are plenty of folks out there who think communism is neat-o in theory and they are a pain in the ass to convince otherwise, it is that he was a brutal murdering tyrant. He shouldn't even be a poster boy for the "in theory" people.
One of the most informative AND entertaining reads in a long time. My students were taking a test while I read it and I kept laughing out loud. They must think I'm nuts.
By the way, I particularly like the shirt that has the picture of Che with the script "I don't know who this is." That's funny, my friends.
I particularly like the reference to Stalin: so stumpy and pockmarked; he could have been a star.
Any idea where I can get the onesie for my baby-on-the-way?
Other sightings: Hyde from That 70s Show wears a Che shirt in one episode and in the Gorilla Radio video, the guitarist from Rage Against the Machine wears a CCCP hockey jersey. morons.
on a semi-related note: a student came in today with a shirt that had a map of Michigan and a caption of 'at least it's not Canada.'
I guess that would be 'guerilla' radio
