It's Talk Like A Pirate Day.
A coworker told me about this one. When he was teaching, he used to talk like a pirate in his classrooms on September 19. I strongly suggest that all of you who are teaching now do the same.

Apparently the mateys at CNET got the memo.
I was going to do this in my classes two years ago.
Then school got cancelled b/c of a hurricane warning.
I took it as a sign.
