Two TV Notes

1). Much to my surprise, I found that I really enjoyed the series premiere of the new HBO show "Rome." It is not for the faint of heart, and I hope it does not get too bogged down in politics, but overall it was a solid beginning.

2). Two fearles predictions for the season finale of "Entourage" next week. First, Vince will stick with Ari (of course he will, the show hinges on Jeremy Piven). Second, James Cameron will dump Mandy Moore from Aquaman, and our hero will continue on in his charmed life.

As long as I'm on TV shows, let me add that the series finale of "Six Feet Under" was excellent, both because it ended Six Feet Under, and because it was really well done. Also, and this is for our friend Bloodmoney (who I hope is enjoying Norway), "Battlestar Galactica" continues to be one of the most compelling shows on television. A friend of mine who does not like sci-fi (DCAT), watched BG with me last week and was surprised at how impressed he was.

And, yes, I am a rampaging nerd.
