Batman Begins

Ren and I saw it on Wednesday night. For the record, it is fantastic--the best action blockbuster with a story since the first Matrix. And considering that none of us can purge from our tortured minds how the Matrix turned out--"I made a sunrise for Neo, Yay"-- Batman Begins is better at this point.

Someone finally got Batman right. Tim Burton should dig a hole and hide in it for that Jack-as-a-silly-Joker-dominated, miscast-Michael-Keaton-as-the-lead, superhero-in-unbendable-rubber-suit, music-by-Prince, followed-by-three-almost-unbearable-sequels, cheesy piece of camp that was Batman.

See Batman Begins. Two-fifths of the Big Tent give it our full endorsement.

The Caped Crusader is dead.
Long live the Dark Knight!

Just go see it.
