In some small corner of my brain I think these pictures represent a kind of progress in race relations. These students are so clueless-- and historically ignorant-- that they had no idea that what they were doing was offensive.

Even if they had made it past scrutiny, at the 10-year reunion, you have to wonder what level of regret those involved would have, just out of memory's sake.
