A New Yalta?
There's been a lot of talk about the Yalta Conference lately, almost as much as there has been about V-E Day. And now Mikheil Saakashvili, the new President of Georgia, argues that it's time to revisit Yalta as a way to remake the region, and the world for the future. In response, Stephen Handelman suggests that this proposal may only fan Russia's flames and lead to greater conflict between the U.S. and Russia.
