Goldberg on Liberalism

Not all of our readers will be pleased. I generally agree with Goldberg, Barone, et al. Both American liberalism and the Democratic party have stagnated, for the moment. I do not think this is an earth-shattering event. All it will take is a hot issue or two to get liberalism and the Dems kick-started again. They missed their opportunity to be the voice of an agressively idealistic foreign policy after September 11--and that was a huge one--but other opportunities will come along. History does keep chugging on, after all.
