Gooney Left vs. Lunatic Right

War Historian covers and summarizes an interesting "debate" that has sprung up quite suddenly on our local listserv. Make sure you scroll down to at least "The Gooney Left" - Part II. The conversation has continued since his most recent post, but not very much of substance was said. It looks like this will continue onto another, more appropriate, venue, where hopefully some reasoned debate can develop.
