That regime has been falling apart for years. Defectors aren't news. Starvation isn't news. Political infighting probably isn't news, either, we've just never heard about it before now because they had a better grasp on information technology.
The question is, are we prepared to do anything about it? Are we prepared for at least some of the likely eventualities? Do we (and by we I mean those people in positions of power and responsibility) have a clue?
