This story has made the news for a couple of weeks here in the People's Republic of Portland. One local group is already organizing a fund raising drive to help....

I was wondering when you guys were going to notice that one. Let me just say that I was likewise upset by it, as were many of my compatriots. Unfortunately, I can't find a link to the coverage online anymore. Due to overwhelming outrage by American Vets. the plug was pulled on this (thank God). http://vancouver.cbc.ca/regional/servlet/View?filename=bc_nelson20040929 At least not in its original location, Nelson, BC, as they are not supporting it, and are not giving any money or funds for it. However, according to this story, these (explitive deleted) are still trying to put it up in a place that will be happy to have it (personally, I have a couple of ideas, but I'll keep those to myself).
