Michael Moore

Wow. I don't know if this message is really from Michael Moore. I know he is a lunatic, but this message is so unhinged that I think it may be a joke. Perhaps somebody hacked into his website and posted it. If it is legit... wow. Moore didn't write it himself, but he endorses it with a "How true."

My two favorite parts:

"They beat us because they are abusers. We can call it hate. We can call it fear. We can say it is unfair. But we are looped into the cycle of violence, and we need to start calling the dominating side what they are: abusive. And we need to recognize that we are the victims of verbal, mental, and even, in the case of Iraq, physical violence."

"How to break free? Again, the answer is quite simple.

First, you must admit you are a victim. Then, you must declare the state of affairs unacceptable. Next, you must promise to protect yourself and everyone around you that is being victimized."

This is the most glorious mess of nonsense I have ever read. Read the whole thing and try not to laugh out loud. I couldn't.

WOW. I almost don't know what to say except I agree, Dr. Tootle, it is a "glorious mess of nonsense". This goes back to my earlier comments on the insane amount of whining and woe-is-me sobbing from the Left that has been going on since Nov. 3, and is really getting annoying.
One of my favorites is when he equates people going to a Rock the Vote concert as being Liberal. Um, I went to Pearl Jam to see Pearl Jam, and I voted for Bush. Also, I know a lot of union members with "UNION MEMBER FOR BUSH" bumper stickers.
This is a lot of whiney drivel which I have unfortunately become accustom to over the last month and a half.

I heard about this yesterday while driving home through Cleveland, listening to Michael Medved's show (I was caught in a traffic jam and looking for a traffic report, but apparently such things don't exist in Cleveland). Medved pointed out the sheer idiocy of campaigning as victims. As he put it: "Would you vote for a victim to be President of the United States?" I don't think many people, liberal or conservative, would.

So, nobody else sees the irony comparing this post (and its related commentary) and the conservatives-as-victims opinion piece on academe???

No.
