Is a bad idea, but I find myself doing the electoral math over and over. As it stands, there are just under 100 electoral votes that are too close to call. By my math, Kerry has to win 63 of them to win the election. He can do this by winning OH (20), PA (21), and FL (27) and not losing anything any of his "leaning" states (including HI). I am guessing Bush will win Florida and Kerry will win Pennsylvania. I don't know about Ohio. Kerry is probably up by 1-2% in OH. Bush is up by about the same margin in IA. If I were forced to give an electoral count as of today, I think Bush has 276 (Bush needs 269 to win, Kerry needs 270).
Yes, I am going crazy watching these polls, and no, I am not sleeping well these days.
