I felt/feel the same way. He did not represent the vision for this country that I supported, but I am reminded of a story I read (probably in Reader's Digest) when I was a kid. In the middle of Watergate, a man saw a picture of Nixon hanging in another man's home. The visitor was shocked, and asked if he was a Nixon supporter. The man replied: "That is a picture of the President of the United States." I always liked that story.
