Rudy Giuliani was near my hometown for a fundraiser (see earlier post). My Mom and stepdad heard about his last minute change of plans (he apparently had a death in the family) and bought tickets. My mom printed up signs that she was a "Mom of NYU Grad." Giuliani walked right up to their table, gave her a thumbs up and signed a copy of his book, Leadership. She then grabbed him and planted one. Way to go mom. Stepdad not jealous.
Also, Ben Stein opened the events. He was reportedly very, very, funny and not afraid to work "blue." Love that guy.
