Tommy Franks Memoir
Here is Max Boot's review. Boot does not mention it in his review, but I saw Franks giving an interview and he said that the "Mission Accomplished" thing was his idea for the President to do, because he had some indications from some Europeans that they would jump in when major military operations were concluded. It was a diplomatic measure that did not work, and Franks takes full blame for the uproar it caused. Haven't heard that one in too many major media outlets. I wonder if NPR, which insisted everyday on saying "x number of Americans have died since the president announced the end of major military operations x days/weeks/months ago," has even addressed Franks' admission. Probably not.
