The smartest woman in the Democratic party isn't Hillary, isn't Pelosi, but Donna Brazile. Simple advice is often the best advice. Kerry could do much worse than heed her words.

If Brazile is so smart why did Gore lose after eight years of peace and prosperity under Clinton?
Because Gore decided that his campaign message was that this was a time of unprecedented peace and prosperity and that we're mad as hell about it. Which made no sense. Again, self-inflicted gunshot wounds are often the worst.
