Big Fun in CO

All of my classes seem wonderfully relevant these days. I am teaching a course on the 1960s, and the students are already on the edges of their seats. I am wishing I had assigned a longer book on Vietnam, though, since that seems to be of current interest. In my course on Modern America, we will be looking at the history of intelligence. In U.S. since 1877 we will study the "small wars." In U.S. to 1877 we will learn about how the U.S. build its democratic institutions.

I am impressed by the maturity of my students, as well. Someone must give them instructions on how to act at orientation-- either that, or the students here are just remarkably self-possessed.

Oh, and I climbed Mt. McConnell last week.
