Political Quietude

Here's John Podhoretz giving his opinion of Bush's political prospects. Personally, I'm grateful for the space we're in. Hear that? It's minimal political noise. And I think it will stay that way until the convention in July. In the meantime, the press will have little to batter Bush or promote Kerry with. Everyone is still filled with warm feelings of Reagan, Iraq has not been sucked into the seventh plane of hell, and the economy is chugging along like Bill Clinton on a White House intern. Mix it all together and we end up with six weeks of solace. Enjoy it. I am.
