The Supreme Court reversed the California decision the grounds that Daddy pain-in-the-posterior did not have the right to speak for his daughter due to custody issues. More interesting are the concurring opinions by Rehnquist, O'Connor, and Thomas saying that the case wouldn't have held up anyway. See No Left Turns for some comments.
