Greetings from sunny (for now--9 months of rain comes soon) Portland, Oregon. The move went well, though our car has not shown up and no one seems to know where it is. Other than that, things are great. The new place is nice, my wife loves the area, my office is big, and they are ordering more bookshelves for me, as well as a new desk. I can see Mount Hood from my back porch every morning, and can even see Mount St. Helens (or what is left of it)on occasion.
I can listen to all the Mariners' losses on the radio, read about their fire sale every day--in detail--in the local paper, and can listen to hysterical far, far, far Angry Left talk radio. Moron that later...
I am now hooked up to the Internet at work, but not at home (need more moola).I will post during breaks in my diss writing (which is going well).
Sorry that I missed Stephen's wedding--sounds like it was a fun time.
Really good local beer on me the next time any of you are out this way (AHA in Seattle???).
BTW, I need a good book on the American Revolution for my W.Civ course. Any suggestions? Gordon Wood? B. Bailyn?
Talk to you all soon.

Hah-day,
Nice to hear from you.
Gordon Wood has a short book in one of those series on the Revolution that is perfect for what you are talking about. Good stuff.
Keep on truckin with the blog. I'm teaching away for the next three and a half weeks, and Stephen is back for today and tomorrow, when he defends, then is off to Colorado, so he'll be occupied, too. It's up to you and Ren to keep the Big Tent all full of Big Tenty goodness.
Glad the move went smoothly, except for that missing car thingy. Give us a call soon.
You got it, Smoochy.
