Horse-patookey

This guy is trying to argue that NASCAR drivers are athletes because they sweat a lot. Yeah. Now I know it takes a certain amount of skill to drive those cars, even if it is all left turns, but by this guy's logic a chef worknig the dinner shift in a really busy restaurant is an athlete. No. Sorry. Not athletes. (And if Shaq could fit in their cars, I guarantee he could drive every bit as long as those overpaid hill-billies.)

At minimum I believe in a hierarchy of sports. I may be willing to say that NASCAR is a sport at the lowest level, alongside, say, curling and competitive ballroom dancing, and watermelon seed spitting contests. But forgive me if I do not put them alongside decathletes or linebackers or centerfielders. I think NASCAR is interesting as a pop-culture phenomenon, and certainly it is popular. But I can say the same thing for Kid Rock, and I don't get that either.
