Apparently, the Italian hostage killed by terrorists yesterday tried to take off his hood before being shot and told his killers "Now I'm going to show you how an Italian dies." Al Jazeera, which broadcasted Daniel Pearl getting murdered and mutilated, did not show this latest murder because they said it was too bloody. More likely is that they didn't want to make their terrorist friends look bad by showing what real bravery looks like.

Meanwhile the Italians aren't bending an inch in fighting the war on terror. If I were President Bush I'd bring up this story next time Kerry or any of the Democrats from the surrender first wing of the party start mouthing off about "being unilateral" or "going it alone."
