President Bush Honors Victims of Bombings in Spain
We haven't written much on the bombings in Spain, and as I write this I am taking a break from a dissertation that argues against pundits who always demand stirring, exciting leadership. But I cannot help but wish that President Bush would have made a more inspiring and heartfelt speech about what has happened to our ally. We need to remember our friends.
I would have liked some high-flying rhetoric about chasing these killers to the ends of the earth. If terrorists targeted Spain because they helped us, it is the least we could do.
