Here are a couple of predictions.

1. The February jobs report will say more than 200,000 new jobs. Currently, the consensus estimate among experts is about 130,000.

2. Martha Stewart will not go to jail. This directly contradicts a prediction I made two weeks ago, but hey, this is America and I can change my mind. If justice is done, she'll be acquitted on all charges. However, the trial is taking place in a population crazy enough to elect Hillary Clinton to the Senate, so reasonable outcomes will be at a premium.

3. The Democratic strategy memos currently held by the Senate's Sergeant-at-Arms will be released or leaked. In them, John Edwards will look like a venal money-grubbing pol beholden to the trial lawyers lobby, shattering his vision of two Americas and greatly reducing his chances of getting the VP spot on the Democratic ticket.

4. John Kerry's girlfriend will return from Kenya and tell all. Shortly thereafter, Theresa Heinz will do a toxic meltdown on live TV over her cheating husband. The general election becomes a write-off for the Democratic party.
